I saw the Boston Common Band at the Landsdowne Pub a few months and it was great. Mike Maven's a tremendous singer and showman and the rest of the musicians in the group are too, they can play just about anything with enthusiasm, you can see it in their eyes as they blaze through different genres of popular music, from Top 40 to rock hits to funk to Michael Jackson. They play bars and pubs but they're also one of the TOP wedding bands in Boston and are booked solid many, many months in advance...
