Mr. Rob Johnson who is also listed as Rob Aldrich is the owner of concrete design group. He came out and performed a measurement for a pool deck. He then pressured my husband for a deposit. We never heard from him again. No work was performed. He never gave us any colors to choose from. He did not answer the business phone or his cell phone. contacted the better business who said that his address was a po box and the mail was returned. i contacted the attorney general who informed me that Rob Johnson did the same thing to other people.I never received my money back, and no where on the contract does it say the deposit is nonrefundable.

I contracted with The Concrete Design Group to replace the decking around my pool with stamped concrete. The agreement required a $1,000 deposit and the work was to begin on or about April 15, 2009. In late March I was made aware that 2 other companies would do the same work for $2/sq. ft. less than what this company quoted. After several emails with Rob Johnson, owner of the company, in which he never suggested to me that he would drop his quote by $2/sq. ft., I decided to cancel the job with his company, The Concrete Design Group, and I requested by email that my deposit of $1,000 be returned to me. Note that no where on the contract does it state that the deposit is non-refundable nor does it require any notice period. To date, my deposit has not been refunded. Mr. Johnson is forcing me to resort to either arbitration or a small claim case. Please do NOT contract any work with this company. They do not respect the concept of competion, a concept our country was founded upon
